Hyderabad overview

Hyderabad Travel Guide
Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, is a huge, lively and traditional city. Situated on the river banks of Musi, Hyderabad offers tourists fascinating glimpses of the city’s glorious past. The city, known as the ‘Istanbul of India’, boasts several examples of the Islamic Qutb Shahi architecture, like the Toli Masjid, Jami Masjid and Charminar – Hyderabad’s main landmark. Often compared to France’s Arch the Triumph, Charminar is placed in the heart of the city and is surrounded by the busy city market. Hyderabad also boasts to have one of the biggest Buddha statues in the state. Moreover, about 10kms from the city centre, the mausoleums of previous Quatab Shahi rulers and the stunning Golconda Fortress can be visited.
