Haryana overview

Known as the ‘Green Land of India’, Haryana is divided into the Indo-Gangetic and sub-Himalayan Terai plains. Both natural attractions have fertile lands and slopes, with heights averaging between 700 to 900ft above sea level. The capital of Haryana, Chandigarh, is a strictly planned city and known for the buildings designed by the famous French architect, Le Corbusier. Chandigarh is famed for its affluent but laid back atmosphere – ideal for tourists who want to get away from crowded and polluted Indian cities. The city’s pollution-free air, and wide boulevards and avenues contribute to creating Chandigarh an ideal destination for fun-loving tourists.
